Physical Therapy


  • Physical Therapy is provided to support the Individualized Education Program for students'

    whose disabilities interfere with their educational performance and ability to benefit from their

    education program. Physical Therapy promotes motor development and the student's participation

    in everyday routines and activities that are a part of his or her school program and home/community settings.

    Therapeutic interventions include; functional mobility and safe, efficient access and participation in

    educational activities and routines in one's natural learning environment. Physical Therapy works with

    your child's individual needs so that they can be successful when performing activities within their

    school, home and community settings. The following are a few topics that Physical Therapy addresses:

     

    - Gross Motor Functioning

    - Balance and coordination

    - Functional mobility in school and community

    - Seating and positioning

    - Facilitate access and participation in the home and community
